Out tending to the day’s errands, Rachel Bilson was spotted making her way around Santa Monica, California on Monday (October 5).

The “Jumper” actress looked her usual stylish self in a grey jacket, white buttondown top, dark jeans and knee-high boots as she strolled past paparazzi and into the Tribeca West plaza.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, it was just recently confirmed by Rachel’s rep that she’ll be making a guest appearance on “How I Met Your Mother”.

Refusing to divulge any information about Miss Bilson’s role on the show, the episode will most likely air on CBS in January.

She was hoping for a massive career comeback with the CW drama “The Beautiful Life,” but Mischa Barton’s new gig has already been canceled.

The Ashton Kutcher-produced show only nabbed about a million viewers during its first two episodes, leading the network to cease production.

And according to an inside source, Miss Barton is taking the cancellation news pretty hard.  After all, the show was one of the only positive things she had going for her.

Of her emotional meltdown earlier this year, Mischa told press, “I’m getting sick of answering questions about it.  I just had a bad time of year and now it’s all over and done with, and I’m just very happy to be feeling happy again and back on top of it and not so worried about everything.  It was just too much to handle for me at the time.  One stay in the hospital was turned into this huge ‘She’s lost her marbles!’ thing, and people look at me like I’m unstable and they should probably cross the street when they see me.”

While she was close to making her return to the television spotlight, it seems as if Mischa Barton’s recent breakdown may have far-reaching implications when it comes to her career.

According to the latest reports, Mischa’s medical instability may make for a tough time in getting her insured for projects – which could lead to trouble finding any work.

“Could she be insurable on future films? Well, it will depend on what happens in this case and if she is able to complete the project,” an insurance broker told Life & Style magazine.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that the producers of her current project are eyeing possible replacements in case Miss Barton cannot continue her work obligations.

But they should be fine as long as she was included in the insurance plan, with an industry insider telling, “If the studio bought a policy and listed her on it, they’re probably covered. If not, it would be very hard to go back and get insurance on her now. It would be like trying to get health insurance for someone who just had a massive heart attack.”

Stepping out for a morning meeting, Rachel Bilson was spotted leaving an office building in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday (July 21).

The “Jumper” actress looked cute as she toted a large shopping bag labeled specifically for her from the well-regarded BPCM marketing and PR firm.

The outing comes as Miss Bilson continues to take a break from work behind the cameras – instead tending to her duties as an InStyle writer.

In her fashion advice column, Miss Bilson recently offered up three bits of advice for the season include “sharp shoulders (à la Erdem and Balmain), sweeping skirts (à la Dries Van Noten and Ports 1961) and tube scarves (à la Helmut Lang and Burberry Prosum).”

Former OC and current The Beautiful Life star Mischa Barton placed a non-emergency phone call Wednesday to the LAPD for “medical issues,” according to E! News.

“Shortly after 3 p.m., a patrol car did respond to assist her with medical issues,” officer Karen Rayner said. “No one was arrested and no one else was involved.”

Sketchy much?

The spokeswoman would not say whether deputies were still helping her on the scene or if the problem was serious enough to warrant seeking medical attention.

No word what exactly ailed her, but we’re guessing it wasn’t food poisoning, if you know what we’re saying. We’re saying you have to eat in order to get that.

The 23-year-old was escorted to an undisclosed location.

In December 2007, the sort-of troubled star, who has been pushing the lower limits of boyfriends and fashion the past couple of years, was busted in West Hollywood for DUI and marijuana possession following a traffic stop.

She was subsequently rung up on misdemeanor charges of DUI and driving without a valid license, for which she received probation after cutting a deal.

Barton was kicked out of a nightclub bathroom earlier this month.
