Madonna and Lady Gaga have been seen tearing each other’s hair out on live TV – but only in the name of comedy.

The pop divas – both wearing knee-high boots and leather basques – appeared on US sketch show Saturday Night Live where they started out dancing together before their performance turned into a catfight.

Lady Gaga said: “What’s wrong Madonna, can’t get into the groove?”, before the pair started hitting, scratching and pulling each other’s hair.

Madonna sniped: “What kind of name is Lady Gaga – it sounds like baby food?”, to which the Poker Face singer retorted: “The kind that’s No 1 in the Billboard charts.”

Presenter Kenan Thompson then sat between them and persuaded them to kiss and make up.

The two bonded as the comedian interrupted their row, and they high fived as Lady Gaga said: “We’re pop icons – respect!”

But Kanye West has few friends these days, so he’ll have to settle for Lady GaGa.

Speaking to a Las Vegas radio station today about the rapper, who is still receiving flak for his crashing of Taylor Swift’s VMA speech two weeks ago, GaGa said:

“I would say he’s a good guy and everybody makes mistakes, and he feels so f-cking bad. He really does… Everyone likes to focus on gossip, but he’s changed music and he’s really prolific and an incredible person, and I think it’s unfair to judge somebody on one mistake they’ve made.”
West and Lady GaGa are set to tour together, so she has a soft (likely, poorly-dressed) spot in her heart for him.

“He’s really kind of shown me a lot, as a friend, planning this tour – it’s all about the fans… I felt like that [VMA] moment really portrayed him in a way that he really isn’t. It was just a random moment.”

But that doesn’t mean she’s not a raging coke head.

The singer, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, may be only 23 years old, but she’s had quite the roller-coaster life in the time leading up to her fame.

After dropping out of college, she lived at home with her folks in New York City and developed a pretty big cocaine habit, which she discusses quite openly.

Until her dad intervened, her life just consisted of staying in her room snorting loads of the drug. Preferably while listening to The Cure. Who’s surprised?
“My cocaine soundtrack was The Cure,” Lady GaGa said. “I loved all their music, but I listened to their songs on repeat while I did bags and bags of cocaine.”

“I didn’t think there was anything wrong with me until my friends came over and said, ‘Are you doing this alone?’ I replied, ‘Um, yes. Me and my mirror.’”

Now Gaga puts that mirror to better use, like checking out how her outfits look … eh, not really, most magazine spreads feature Lady Gaga nude these days.

While she admittedly likes to party, she said she kicked the coke habit due to her father and the fact that she would frequently panic while she was on drugs.

We’ve seen enough Lady Gaga fashion to know she is not shy, or opposed to wearing ridiculous outfits, or showing the world her goods at a moment’s notice.

But seriously, is she completely naked under the coat, or just trying to look it?The smash-hit singer signed a few autographs for a few fans in a skin toned leotard and a white blazer, conjuring up images of Lady Gaga naked in V magazine, while trying to balance the large beehive on her head. All in all, she did really well!

The final straw came this week after Lady Gaga photos showing her snogging another fella made it into the Sun (UK) a close to the former couple reports.

The ill-advised make-out session occurred at the restaurant Balans in London, where Gaga brought her entourage following her gig at Brixton Academy.

“He was so disappointed, but he is not into cheaters,” says a source of the man still known only Speedy (below). “It was hard enough for them to be in a long-distance relationship, but then this came out and it was over for him.”

The 31-year-old Los Angeles resident had put his business – whatever the heck that might consist of – on hold to accompany Lady Gaga, 23, on tour.

The previously happy duo, who met on the set of her “Love Game” video, vacationed last month in Hawaii, and were spotted smooching on the beach.

Soon enough, though, it all went downhill.

Maybe the distance did them in. Maybe it was Lady Gaga’s habit of sleeping with her band. Maybe “Speedy” refers to his performance in areas where it is not ideal.

For Lady Gaga’s lucky band members, the view you see below is nothing new. Nor is it really a shock for fans to get a glimpse of it at this point, either.

Lady Gaga, who takes the stage in everything from bras that shoot sparks to giant buttons and gimp masks, stops at nothing when it comes to fashion.

Many more pics like this, though, and instead of a “Poker Face,” fans are gonna want to show her their “o-face.” Maybe. Some think she’s a “butter face.”

We take silly pictures, try on wigs, and have lots of girltalk!

Specifically, GaGaloo was telling us about how amazeballs her performance is going to be at the MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday, which Perezaloo is going to be a presenter at.

The MMVAs are even building a very cool set – just for her!

The wifey and I had so much fun in Toronto on Friday night. We love this city. We love this country.

So what’s life like behind the cameras?

According to Kerry Rhodes, a safety for the New York Jets, who plays a cop in the video, life pretty much imitates art when it comes to Lady G.

While he describes Gaga as “reserved,” “focused” and “cool,” he admits that the scene around the budding dance-pop icon can be pretty crazy.

“The shoot was ridiculous!” he said.

“Everywhere you turned there was a dead body – not real! – a really big horse-looking dog, and a half-naked model, which was cool.”

As cool as Lady Gaga nude? That’s in the eye of the beholder.

Rhodes explains that he knew the shoot would be “something out of the ordinary,” and, of course, he’s a fan of the 23-year-old celebrity.

“She’s very talented,” he says. “She’s something different for music lovers to listen to.”

That said, don’t expect the Jets to warm up to “P-p-p-pokerface” any time soon. When asked if Gaga plays in the locker room, Rhodes laughed, “Not a chance!”

Still, he’ll have good stories to tell his fellow NFL players. One of his favorites: “When I was in main dressing room changing and Lady and I bumped into each other mid-change!” he exclaims, before laughing, “No, there was no funny stuff!”

No word on whether her random boyfriend Speedy was on hand.
