Literally. Katezilla will be shooting the pilot for her proposed new TV show this weekend, according to Radar Online. Kate will team up with Paula Deen.

The Southern cooking expert and Kate Gosselin will join forces for a show that is planned to blend advice, health and beauty tips and celebrity gossip.

Yes … Kate co-hosting a show that includes celebrity gossip segments.

The show is said to be loosely based on the popular website Mom Logic. Hey, at least it’s not based on stupid Cafe Mom. That site is hella weak.
“Kate wants to work and feels she needs to earn more to take care of her family,” a source familiar with the show and the Gosselin matriarch told Radar.

She did whine about working for a living during her guest host stint on The View this week, so it looks like she’s putting her money where her mouth is.

Or something.

There is still time to tinker with the show’s format and formula but right now the plan is to have multiple hosts, and for Paula and Kate to do the honors.

Comedian Sandra Bernhard and Tammy Lynn Michaels have both been considered for the job. Michaels is the wife/spouse of singer Melissa Etheridge.

He’s said she treated him like a lame fish, and was beaten down and abused by his grating spouse – but he never referred to her as “someone I despise.”

Until today.

It’s a far cry from a few weeks ago, when he said he still loved Kate Gosselin as his children’s mother. Now he can’t even tolerate the thought of her.

GMA interviewer Chris Cuomo even questioned Gosselin’s choice of words and said he should “be careful,” but Jon reiterated that he does despise Kate.

The reason? Filling their 10 years of marriage with anger and abuse, and not even projecting a truthful representation of the couple to the media.
Becoming increasingly agitated as he was shown contrasting celebrity gossip magazines featuring Kate and himself, Jon basically called Kate out for what he considers a huge act, for degrading their marriage, shoplifting his manhood and more.

Kate Gosselin didn’t just steal Jon’s pride and 10 years of his life – she also swiped his wedding ring, he claims, while still wearing hers “for show.”

He put down the ring one day, saying “I’m done,” only to have it disappear a few days later, with Kate the only person who could have taken it.

Jon says he’s cried “more in the last eight months” than in his entire life, due to pent up frustration with Kate and having “no voice in the media.”

She’s been invited by Maria Shriver to the Annual Women’s Conference.

The nation’s “premiere forum” for women promotes “empowerment, inspiration and education,” helping them become “architects for change.”

Also on the list for the October event in Sacramento, Calif.? Katie Couric, Kelly Preston, Cindy McCain, Elizabeth Edwards and Madeleine Albright.
California’s first lady said it wasn’t even her idea to invite the mom of eight to attend. Nor was it her husband, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s.

Maria Shriver said that the couple’s teenage daughters, who are fans of Jon & Kate Plus 8, suggested she ask the TLC star to come to the event.

Also noteworthy is that the invites were sent out five months ago, before the family was regularly splashed across celebrity gossip tabloids.

Hey, at least Kate Gosselin and Elizabeth Edwards can share notes on their respective home wreckers, Deanna Hummel and Rielle Hunter.

First, her reality show went on hiatus until August.

Then her new cookbook was delayed indefinitely.

Now her clothing line is up in the air.

The reality star’s promotion deal with Healthex has been shelved amid her recent divorce filing and separation with husband Jon Gosselin, a company rep said.

“Our project is on hold while she focuses on her family,” Healthtex rep Scott Pryzwansky told Radar Online in a brief statement.

Kate Gosselin was hawking the clothing line as recently as May on the Rachael Ray Show. She handed out a gift bag that contained what the host described as “a Healthtex outfit [Kate] helped design and create.”

The fall line is still available at Wal-Mart, but Kate is not involved.

On Monday – one week after she and Jon filed divorce papers – her Christian publisher, Zondervan, announced that her upcoming cookbook, Love Is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories, wouldn’t be hitting stores this November as planned.

TLC also confirmed Jon & Kate Plus 8 was going on hiatus until August 3. Viewership was down 77 percent on Monday’s “retrospective” episode.

It’s okay, Kate. Just get deals in place to pose for bikini photos and sell them to the paparazzi. It’s made millionaires out of Spencer and Heidi.

The phrase too little, too late comes to mind.

In their first joint statement since announcing their divorce to the surprise of no one last week, Jon and Kate Gosselin say they are done with celebrity news:

“During this very difficult time we will be working to focus solely on the needs of our family. This includes no longer commenting publicly or reacting to media stories and speculation. Our goal is to do the very best for our children.”

The statement continues: “That will be done as privately as possible. We appreciate the understanding, support and well wishes from so many. Thank you.”

Wow guys, doing something with the kids in mind? A novel concept! One would think this thought process would occur before whoring them out on a reality show, then banging the random teacher and/or bodyguard, but good for you!Tonight’s episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 will be a retrospective attempt to gloss over the ugliness of multiple affairs and keep viewers focused on the cute kids look at the Gosselins, who were married for 10 years until last Monday.

TLC announced Tuesday that it was pulling the plug on new episodes of the series for now. But the show will resume with Deanna Hummel on board.

“Deanna’s role isn’t expected to be big, but because she’s part of Jon’s life, she’ll be filmed,” says an insider reportedly close to the embattled star.

Hummel’s affair with Jon Gosselin was exposed in early May, when his marriage to Kate and her terrible hair began to unravel very publicly.

Should it even come back at all?

The series, which follows the lives of the Gosselins and their brood, has become garnering TLC its best ratings ever in the past couple of months.

But TLC said next Monday’s episode would be a clip show containing new footage, but that the next all-new episode would not air for six weeks.

Sources say the desire to take a production break came from TLC, not the Gosselins. Only six of Jon & Kate Plus 8’s 40-episode order have aired.

However, because of the turmoil in the Gosselin’s marriage, TLC does not have footage to make new episodes as its schedule became last minute.

This season’s episodes were often completed the day of airing. This was true of last night’s, which featured Jon and Kate’s divorce announcement.

The premiere episode drew almost 10 million viewers following reports that Jon was cheating on Kate with Deanna Hummel and she was responding in kind with their bodyguard Steve Neild. Jon was later linked to Hailey Glassman as well.

Additional rumors and gossip fueled the fire in recent weeks, including a shocking photo of Kate spanking Leah and a video of her denying Mady water.

Accounts of Jon looking for his own place and the couple spending less and less time together signified what the couple officially confirmed last night.

It’s over. But the show, apparently, will go on.

We mean Jon Gosselin, mentally, that is. Not poor little Aaden, who had to go to the pediatrics hospital on Saturday in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Chances are, the five-year-old’s injuries were not the result of another Kate Gosselin spanking. But who can say for certain with that woman?

A rep for TLC, when reached for comment, said, “When you have eight kids, someone is bound to get hurt. It’s nothing tragic. Everything is fine.”

With their special divorce announcement on tap for tomorrow’s episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8, Kate apparently left town for some alone time this weekend.

Unfortunately, she is probably expected back at some point in the near future.

She took off by herself so that the eight kids could spend Father’s Day with Jon Gosselin. How sweet, their last Father’s Day with married parents! Yay!

No word if Hailey Glassman and/or Deanna Hummel are coming over.
