His lawyer, Mark Geragos, named the community service program in Virginia in which Brown will be enrolling in a 52-week domestic violence program.

Brown was sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor. Here are the terms of Chris’ probation, as stipulated by the judge:

* He is subject to search and seizure 24/7 for the next 60 months years. He can’t own any dangerous weapon, including guns or knives. He must surrender any firearms in his possession within 24 hours.
* Brown must personally come to court every three months during probation. The first appearance will be November 19.
* Chris must report by phone every 72 hours as requested.
* He must provide DNA samples as requested by authorities.
* Chris must perform 180 days of community labor.
* He must get approval before leaving the U.S.
* Brown is ordered not to “harass, assault, threaten or molest” Rihanna. He can’t have any contact, even on the phone or through a third person.

Regarding the last item, Judge Patricia Schnegg said during the sentencing, “I am not immune to the chatter on the airwaves” – almost certainly a reference to reports that Brown and Rihanna are still talking or have even hooked up.

The judge says she means business and will consider it a probation violation and enforce the appropriate consequences if he does not abide by that order.

As we reported in late June, Brown accepted a plea deal in which he entered a plea of guilty to a brutal February assault that left Rihanna badly beaten.

He will be given community service and probation.

This is not to say that the R&B singer got away with this with a mere slap on the wrist by any means, which brings us to the delay in his sentencing.

The reason for the delay is the judge said she wants Brown to perform hard labor for his community service. The plan for the community service in his native Virginia was not fully in place, so the judge wants to see a full schedule first.

The judge wants to know what Brown will be doing for his community service – which he will do for eight hours a day, for a period of several months – saying 90 percent of the service is accounted for but 10 percent needs to be locked down.

Rihanna’s lawyer, Donald Etra, says that Brown has not violated the stay away order against him and says Rihanna is open to lifting the restraining order.

The two have been rumored to be back together ever since his sentencing, despite a court order that he stay 50 yards away from his assault victim.

Police are investigating a New York City tattoo parlor, East Side Ink, because Rihanna decided she wanted to play tattoo artist earlier this week.

Wednesday night, three lucky people at East Side Ink got brand-new tattoos inked by the “Umbrella” singer herself. This is apparently illegal.

“She came by to hang out with us and her regular tattoo artist, Bang Bang,” says East Side Ink owner Yadira. “He decided he wanted to get a tattoo from her and then two of the other artists decided they wanted to get one as well.”

RiRi gave her buddy and the other artists one of her signature signs.

“She tattooed us for a change,” says Yadira. “It’s a little umbrella with a capital R. The second and third had a number two and a number three next to it.”

But the NYC Health Department says tattooing without a license is illegal.

“Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code,” says NYC Health Dept. spokesperson Erin Brady.

Yadria counters it’s only illegal if she is making a profit.

And as for Rihanna facing legal drama, an NYPD spokeswoman acknowledged that “Someone would have to make a complaint. There’s been none.”

Who would really complain? And would any minor legal matter faze her after getting her face flattened by Chris Brown earlier this year? Doubtful.

Even with his preliminary hearing scheduled for tomorrow, Chris Brown isn’t letting legal problems get in the way of putting together his new album.

Keri Hilson, a hit-making songwriter and singing superstar in her own right, tells E! Online that Chris recently asked for her help in the studio.

“He contacted me like four or five days ago,” Hilson said. “Us working together will be the first project I’ve worked on as a songwriter in a while.”

This wouldn’t be the first time for the two. They dueted on “Superhuman,” plus Hilson wrote “Young Love,” a track on Brown’s debut album.

“It is unfortunate what they are going through, but I feel like if you’ve ever had a fan base, you’re really only one song away from appeasing that base,” she said of Chris Brown, whose PR firm is actively trying to remake his image.

“Whether that song is autobiographical or whether you want to talk about it or not, you’re just one hit away. That’s what I think of the industry in a nutshell.”

Lil Wayne is another controversial star Hilson has collaborated with. Most recently, two women (Nivea Hamilton and Lauren London) came out and said that they are currently pregnant with babies fathered by the frequently-arrested rapper.

“I’m still kind of hoping it’s not true,” Hilson said of Lil Wayne’s losing battle with condoms. “I’m a face-value person. I won’t believe it until I see it.”

Give it about 6-7 months then, Keri.

He sought to investigate further the leak of police photos showing Rihanna’s battered face, which appeared on TMZ and may form the basis for Brown’s defense.

The judge ruled earlier that the leak is not relevant to the case against Brown, at least as far as delaying a preliminary hearing – to determine if Brown will stand trial – right now. She indicated she may change her mind before a trial.

That means game on for Monday!

Don’t expect any live streams from the courtroom, though. The hearing – at which Rihanna is expected to testify – will not be televised, a court spokesman said.

Los Angeles Criminal Court Judge Patricia Schnegg has decided against allowing cameras into the courtroom during Rihanna’s testimony, Alan Parachini said.

Prosecutors are expected to call Rihanna, 22, as a witness Monday as they make their case that Chris Brown, 20, brutally attacked and threatened her.

Brown faces two felony counts – assault and making criminal threats – stemming from an early morning incident before the Grammy Awards February 8.

If Brown accepts a plea bargain, the hearing would be unnecessary. He would certainly like that to happen, however, the fact that no plea has been reached yet indicates the sides may not be close to reaching a mutually acceptable punishment.

Rihanna has cleared her schedule so she could be in court if prosecutors call her as a witness June 22, her lawyer, Donald Etra, said last month.

Brown, who was laying low for a few months after the alleged attack, has been out and about lately as his PR handlers try to remake his image.

He’s been seen at lots of NBA playoff games, and even filmed a short video with Bow Wow on YouTube in May in which he said, “I ain’t a monster.”

While his PR peeps plot his every public move, his attorney is doing all he can to buy time in the assault and criminal threats case pending against Brown.

Geragos wants to delay the hearing until a judge decides if he can have access to LAPD records of its investigation into the battered Rihanna photo leak.The state appeals court denied the same request last week.

Whether this is a stalling tactic as Geragos negotiates a plea, or if he really plans to use the photo leak as the crux of Brown’s defense, remains to be seen.

Rihanna has been subpoeaned to testify at the June 22 hearing and her attorney, Donald Etra, says she’s planning to comply with the prosecution’s wishes.

Of course, neither music star wants to see a trial happen.

Chris Brown is accused of threatening the life and pounding the living daylights out of the 21-year-old Rihanna after a pre-Grammy party on February 8.

He would undeniably accept a plea bargain if one were on the table that allowed him to avoid jail time. The fact that this has not taken place already, however, suggests a lack of interest from the prosecution in allowing it.

Brown and Rihanna were last seen together – sort of – at Game Four of the NBA Finals. He was then seen with a Rihanna lookalike at Game Five. Obviously.
