Madonna and Lady Gaga have been seen tearing each other’s hair out on live TV – but only in the name of comedy.

The pop divas – both wearing knee-high boots and leather basques – appeared on US sketch show Saturday Night Live where they started out dancing together before their performance turned into a catfight.

Lady Gaga said: “What’s wrong Madonna, can’t get into the groove?”, before the pair started hitting, scratching and pulling each other’s hair.

Madonna sniped: “What kind of name is Lady Gaga – it sounds like baby food?”, to which the Poker Face singer retorted: “The kind that’s No 1 in the Billboard charts.”

Presenter Kenan Thompson then sat between them and persuaded them to kiss and make up.

The two bonded as the comedian interrupted their row, and they high fived as Lady Gaga said: “We’re pop icons – respect!”

Feeling the coolness in the fall air, Ashley Tisdale was spotted chasing away the chill as she made her exit from a Los Angeles fitness center yesterday afternoon (October 5).

The “High School Musical” actress layered on a blue hoodie as well as a pair of tank tops and black pants as she strolled past the paparazzi.

In related news, Stephanie Pratt has thrown Tizzie’s name into the ring of possible actresses to play her in the forthcoming “L.A. Candy” film (adapted from Lauren Conrad’s bestselling novel).

“I would probably say Queen Latifah. I love her. I really love her. Someone more in my age… does that mean Christina Applegate is too old to play me too? OK, Ashley Tisdale.”

Out tending to the day’s errands, Rachel Bilson was spotted making her way around Santa Monica, California on Monday (October 5).

The “Jumper” actress looked her usual stylish self in a grey jacket, white buttondown top, dark jeans and knee-high boots as she strolled past paparazzi and into the Tribeca West plaza.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, it was just recently confirmed by Rachel’s rep that she’ll be making a guest appearance on “How I Met Your Mother”.

Refusing to divulge any information about Miss Bilson’s role on the show, the episode will most likely air on CBS in January.

Still reeling after seeing her show axed after just two episodes, Mischa Barton looked a bit out of it while out in the East Village on Monday afternoon (October 5).

Joined by a guy pal, the former “OC” star walked around aimlessly while “constantly rubbing her nose and looking very depressed” before hailing a cab.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, MIss Barton had been working on the Ashton Kutcher production, “The Beautiful Life,” but the series was cancelled after two episodes due to low viewership.

Meanwhile, Miss Barton is still signed on to do promotional work for Tesco supermarket chain to boost their shop’s ranges in online sales.

Hard at work on their hit CW series, the stars of “Gossip Girl” were busy filming scenes in Central Park in Midtown Manhattan on Monday afternoon (October 5).

As Blake Lively and Chace Crawford teamed up to film at an ice cream stand, their co-stars Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester strolled through the scenic setting as cameras rolled.

Meanwhile, you can catch an all-new “Gossip Girl” episode titled “Dan de Fleurette” when it airs tonight at 9/8C on The CW.

A synopsis via the show’s Web site tells: “It’s the first day of school at Constance Billard which means it’s also time for Jenny to take her rightful place as the new Queen Bee. Unfortunately for Jenny, Blair is more than happy to intervene when news reaches her that she may be needed back at Constance. Meanwhile, Lily returns home to Rufus and her family to find that things are definitely not as she left them. Plus, a famous movie actress, Olivia Burke (recurring guest star Hilary Duff), enrolls at NYU in hopes of having a somewhat normal college experience, and is assigned to be Vanessa’s roommate. Two weeks ago, Aubrey O’Day feigned indignation over criticism of her appearance in PeepShow. Everyone is too critical and judgmental of others’ bodies, said she.

Basically, Aubs hates attention … except for when she begs for it every second of the day with photos like this, which she posted on Twitter over the weekend …
On her Twitter page, Aubrey begged for attention wrote of the photo above: “What the F*#K is going on with my cleavage tonight! NEXT TIME t-shirt and jeans!”

We repeat, there’s nothing wrong with Aubrey O’Day nude. There are worse things to ogle, and if she makes her living flaunting her assets, more power to her.

But when you shove those giant things in everyone’s face 24/7, don’t be surprised if you get some negative feedback, girl. You’re inviting praise and criticism.

But, in an interview with BoxOffice.com, Taylor Lautner has a message for his fellow fellas: this isn’t the case.

Asked whether guys would enjoy the second installment of the Twilight Saga franchise, Lautner said yes because::

“There’s a lot more action than Twilight. It’s more exciting – it has werewolves and vampires, which creates fights because they don’t get along. Not only does the action step up, but the whole story line does as well. Now there’s a third person involved.”
As for his character in New Moon – seen above, shirtless and trying to woo Bella – Lautner dished on the two sides to Jacob Black:

“I play pre-transformation Jacob, and post. He doesn’t transform into a werewolf until halfway through the film. For pre-transformation, the books describe Jacob as clumsy. He trips over his own feet – he’s a kid. And as soon as he transforms, he all of a sudden because extremely agile. There’s several scenes that show his new agility, so that was the biggest thing I had to bring out.”

Sure, the models wore Lindsay Lohan-inspired short Hollywood tramp chic pink dresses, but their blazers had heart-shaped pasties covering up nipples.

Okay, so the spandex tops made the models look more like they were ready to get wild and dance on the table at a seedy club than walk the runway.

But everything was covered. Technically.
Lindsay told TheFABlife, “It’s not good to show your nipples so they should be covered.” Heart-shaped pasties are totally the best way to do it, too!

“I really appreciate everything that goes into, like, any article of clothing. I think it’s fantastic. I think it’s expressive in many ways,” Lindsay added.

Expressive indeed! When Lindsay Lohan walked hand in hand with Ungaro’s designer Estrella Archs at the end of the show, tears filled her eyes.

She was either deeply moved, or the withdrawal symptoms are really kicking in. Either way, we’re glad her latest fashion foray was such a hit.

Letterman confessed that his affairs with staff members (how many, he did not elaborate) recently made him the target of a $2 million extortion plot.

Marty Singer, a litigation attorney for Kate, says Jon never warned Kate he was going to remove a large sum of money from their account.

That sum? $200,000!

Singer says Jon did so even as a court ordered them not to take significant amounts from their joint accounts without the other’s approval.

Sources say Jon could be found in contempt of court for the unauthorized withdrawal, which (hilariously) left the account with only $1,000.

“I’m sure he will respond by going on a TV show,” says Singer, a shot at Jon’s visit to Larry King last week, during which Singer says Jon and his lawyer, Mark Heller, were hypocrites for saying family values (not money) were important.
Singer expects the family law attorney for Kate Gosselin will go to court on Monday to suggest Jon be held in contempt. He also said that Heller has breached “thirty-eight counts alleging multiple violations of the disciplinary rules.”

The banking fiasco caps an intensely bitter week – even for them – between the two estranged spouses, during which production was suspended on Jon & Kate Plus 8.

The move followed the network’s announcement that Jon was being dropped from the show, and him (hilariously) proclaiming he was going to do what it took to halt production on the show because it was damaging to his eight children.
